Our escalating winter oil bill prompted us into action. In the Fall of 2003, we had an energy assessment done and afterwards, did some caulking, installed a set back thermostat, and energy efficient inserts in two of our wood burning fireplaces. I decided to purchase twelve compact flourescent lightbulbs with some gift certificates I had received. Since installing them in high use locations, inside and outside my home, according to my Hydro One bill, my year over year total daily kwh electricity usage has decreased 18%! That’ll be more than enough to offset the increases in electricity rates we expect this spring.

The site looks great, you should be very proud of the work you are doing to help improve our world and maybe even save it. It seems clear that unless humans do something to turn things around, our time will only be a relatively small, although very destructive, blip in the history of this planet. Earth will ultimately survive and with time will recover - humans and other existing life forms may not. Thanks for helping to make a difference !
